Built in Australia

Conveyancing software for people who actually do the work.

Deed is built in Australia by engineers who have shipped regulated systems for some of Australia's largest payments and infrastructure platforms, in collaboration with leading property law firms and conveyancers. We think AI in legal practice should be held to the same bar as a partner reviewing a junior's work. We hold ourselves to that bar before we ship anything.

Conveyancing capacity has been stuck at "headcount" for decades.

Conveyancing firms hit a ceiling. Senior solicitors are the bottleneck: they review every contract, every Section 32, every special condition. Adding clients means adding lawyers, which is expensive, slow and limited by the supply of senior practitioners.

AI changes this. Not by replacing the lawyer (only a lawyer can give legal advice), but by removing the work that should never have been theirs. Extraction, rule-checking, consistency-checking, advice-letter drafting: all things software can do reliably, if it's built right.

That "if it's built right" is the whole game. Deed is what happens when enterprise engineers build it alongside practising property lawyers, and hold every release to a 100% match against the lawyers' own reviews.

Deed removes the contract data entry, so solicitors do the work only solicitors can.

Four principles we won't compromise on.

Software that defers to lawyers

Every rule, every override, every advice template is editable by the firm. Deed surfaces issues; partners decide what to do about them. The AI does the data, the lawyer does the judgement.

Validated against real legal reviews

Before a release ships, Deed reviews real contracts and we compare its findings with the advice the lawyer actually sent to their client. If Deed disagrees with the lawyer, the release doesn't ship.

Auditable by default

Every rule that fired, every override applied, every sign-off is logged on the matter. PI insurers and partners can see the trail.

Australian law, Australian data

Contracts of sale, vendor statements and the standard forms Australian conveyancers use. Built for Australian conveyancing, not adapted from a US workflow. Hosted on Australian-resident infrastructure.

Enterprise engineering, shaped by practising lawyers.

The engineering background behind Deed.

Before Deed, the team built and shipped systems that handle real money, real compliance and real audit pressure. That operating discipline is what high-stakes legal software needs.
